See I'm not a huge fan of guns, but I keep thinking if a bunch of people in that theatre were carrying, or a bunch of people were carrying the day that congresswoman got shot, then not so many people would've gotten shot. Plus if criminals thought, " if I try to commit a crime, but everyone there might have a gun to shoot ME, maybe I should go find a job instead," then maybe there wouldn't be so much crime to begin with. I think we have to remember , as far as the apostle Paul is concerned, he was not interested in social Justice, he was interested in the conversion of souls. Therefore, he would not have been interested in freeing slaves, per se, as slavery was ubiquitous, as Dr Brown said. Paul's interest was morality and salvation. why would he condemn it? It was neither illegal nor immoral so long as the slave was not mistreated. However, sex outside of marriage in any form was wrong.
