Will Gay Marriage Force Black Churches to Reconsider Democratic Party?

I believe that when Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous speech called, 'I Have a Dream', he was more than aware that in his own movement that 'skin color NOT content of character' was rampant. I believe that he made a big point that 'skin worship' was a blasphamy and it was totally un-American. Malcomm X changed his 'skin worship' when he returned from a Hajh in Mecca. Malcom now believed that 'character not skin color' was the only venue to judge a man. Both men knew that racism is a depraved character defect and was not caused by skin shade. Both men were killed by Democrats. Before MLKs' body hit the ground his dream was cast aside and 'skin worship' was the new money maker. The destruction of the black community.

The new money maker? As if skin color had never been used in the United States in order to make money. Why do you hate? You hate so you lie. Go to church please.

President Obama's affirmation of gay marriage threatens to undermine the near-monolithic black support Obama enjoyed in 2008. Several members of the black clergy now say they intend to sit out the presidential election. One poll from last November found black opposition to gay marriage at 58 percent, higher than the rest of the country, which is about evenly split.

The real question is this: What took black church leaders so long to reconsider their near blind support for the Democratic Party?

The historical strength of black churches has been that of a moral and spiritual refuge in a once-hostile country...
