Race and Freedom

You really think poor people living on welfare have that much of a choice? That they can jump to a different life the second they decide to? Back in the years of slavery, people had the choice to escape. They weren't really kept in chains all the time; so if you waited for the right opportunity, you could run away. But then what? Even if you could avoid capture, where would you go? Who would help you? Who would trust you? Who would hire you? Who would mentor you in your new life? You see? Fear is stronger than chains. Slave owners knew it, and today's progressives know it too.

I have only one question for you, sir. Do you sincerely think that the living conditions of the poor in black communities today is freedom?

Gambling and Government

Saw your interview with O'Reilly. He went on to debate resons why gambling should be illegal. I wished you had said: "nobody has the right to tell free people how to run their lives." This is where you should have focused, instead of trying to keep up with O'Reilly's arguments for govenment control. There's a gambling problem? Free people have the responsibility to deal with their own problems. There are many compulsive gamblers? There are many more free people who gamble and are not. The number of compulsive gamblers will increase if gambling laws are eliminated? No, if they are compulsive, they are already gambling regardless of the law. For all his usual criticism for the "nanny-state," O'Reilly has a tendency to call for government's intruding in people's personal lives when he thinks it is "for the Greater Good."
You missed the part where, after Jobs said all that stuff about his "one term president," he concluded by offering Obama help with his next campaign. Fanatic liberal democrats, like Jobs and his wife, support people like Obama and then are disappointed when those people don't do what conservative republicans would do. Jobs would have achieved more if he had had that meeting with Mitt Romney.

Myths That Need Debunking

In some Middle-East societies, when a woman is raped, her family kills her. This cleans the family honor and shame. In the West, we find this barbaric, cruel and medieval; after all, the woman is just a victim. So, we don't kill the woman here. We kill the baby. And our reason for the killing is more sophisticated: we don't call it "honor" or "shame," we call it "psychological damage." So the baby — the most innocent of the victims — pays with his or her life; while the rapist gets a few years of prison, at most, plus psychiatric treatment (it was not his fault after all, it was society's). And the woman? Don't worry about her, she'll be fine after the baby is dead.
The IRS is used by the Democrats to persecute conservatives. This is the hot issue. This is on a Gestapo, Stasi, KGB level. The 50 million spending is nothing in comparison, but makes for a perfect smoke screen to the real deal. Expect more Democrats and lefties to be "outraged" for the 50 million waste.
Why steal. In fact, why even blame Clinton. With a few minutes in google, you could learn about the latest US Navy ship, still in development: its capabilitites, weapons systems, range, weight, get detailed photos and even internal diagrams; even the name of its captain and his home address and phone. In the Military Channel we've seen proud US pilots showing details of the F-22s and the latest helicopters; while our SEALs explain their training and give details of recent missions. This is the real tragedy of our national defense: we spend billions a year to develop weapons and train people, but can't wait to brag about them in the media. You think our enemies aren't taking notes?

Go ahead and bully him. You'll either get punched in the mouth, or your shot-dead body get hauled off 30 minutes later by the police.

Aliens coming to mine rare earths on an asteroid? Actually, that sounds like a good idea for a story... at least, it definitely is original.
