There is no need to form a new party for those attending the Tea Party events because one exists and is on the ballot in more states than any other minor political party.

If you truly value your freedom and revere the US Constitution, you should be joining the Libertarian Party and making it the choice of all Americans who value Liberty over govt contorl of their lives and bodies.

You learned it at your monther's knee. Control yourself. She never said control others. It does not work, then or now.

Liberty is the one thing you cannot have unless you are willing to give it to others.

Get off my body and out of my pocket.

But, the truth is conservatives will not let me live my life my way. They all want...

If I am not free, You are not free.
Simple as that.
If I am unwilling to grant freedom to others, I give them the right to limit my freedom.
Changing society comes with greater understanding and thoughtfullnes along with great prosperity.
Nothing else works.
We change from within and we self govern. Using the power of govt to Force change is morally wrong, does not work and brings us to where we are today - Non thinking sheep led by self important politicans and pundits of all stripes.
We the People are just beinning to realise their acceptance of this is the problem. They gather to say we will no longer ask 'Mother May I' because we do not need to be told how to live our lives.

Tort Reform: Remedy or Red Herring?

I was working as an RN as each new govt program came into being and when malpractice insurance shot through the roof. I carried such insurance myself. I knew physicans who retired at each stage and many who left when insurance rates led to possible insolvency. They may not be quiting now or even recently but they will when rates double or triple. They have to because they don't generate the income for such increases.

1. If corporate money wins elections, Then voters are easily influenced. We know they are thanks to our very successful 'Mother May I' govt education. 'Thinking' is no longer the norm.
2. End govt interference in the market and the corporations will have no need for lobbyists.
3. Limit the Federal govt to its enumerated powers by closing the DC offices of all unconstitutional agencies and letting the states take over the state office with the option to close or transfer to the counties, citie or parishes.

It was interesting to listen to a public radio discussion of the Court revisiting McCain-Feingold. The fear is that corporate money will influence elections. In other words, voters can be influenced by advertising. Even worse, voters cannot sort the false from the true or think for themselves thanks to the success of the 'mother may I' mentality of our govt. schools. : )

Hi John [Stossel],

Is it now appropriate for me to get a quarenteed load and benefit from the feds policies like you had a home in the Carolinas rebuilt by the Federal Flood Insurance Program for a measley $300 annual premium?

After all, Ayn Rand did tell us to bankrupt the b....ds.

Natural Born Losers

I cannot help thinking the title eludes to the fact that Barack Obama is not a 'natural born' citizen of the US. It really is time for the media to break the news to the American people. At this point the only remedy may be Impeachment which is highly unlikely but knowing all the lies from before and after his election might save the nation when 2012 rolls around. At the very least, exposing all the lies and machinations might prevent his re-election and maybe even his nomination. If you are an atheist you can only hope. Others can pray. :)

Could a Wave be Building?

I have taken every opportunity to say just this. Electing a DemRep, as I call them, will not change a thing. I left the Rep Party when after the Goldwater campaign and I have never looked back. Nothing will ever convince me to vote for a Republican much less a Democrat. If the 'wave' is real, its members need to face reality and join a party small enough to field candidates they can trust. For me that will alwasy be the LP.

The US Constitution says what it means and means what it says. It is niether 'living' or subject to intereptation over time.

Perhaps to clarify, we need a Constitutional Admendment allowing any citizen to challange the constitutionality of any legislation or federal agency?

Try this book: 'The Politically Incorrect US Constitution'. It is very good and gives a number of other reference books 'they don't want you to read' according to the authors.

As it stands only parts of laws are tested and found wanting. We need to be able to tell the feds to hand all the unconstitutional agenices off to the states and let states proceed with privatization.

Privatize charity, education and all the rest of what has be...
