The OWS are a combination of the least effective people in the country. Their numbers and influence are being grossly exaggerated by the media. And, the media doesn't realize that the astroturf movements of the 60's have left the rest of us wiser. We know better than to be fooled by this nonsense a second time. We remember the killing fields of Cambodia that were the direct result of the hippy's and media's hyperbolic onslaught forcing our military to abandon our allies. I don't think the American people can be fooled again. But I do like seeing all of that money necessary to pay the "protesters" being invested there instead of in political campaigns. I hope they keep it up because it will hurt liberals and Democrats.

Ummm...that is exactly how they got social security passed during the 1st great depression. The marketed it to the people as an insurance program. Then after it passed, and was unconstitutional, then they changed it to a tax, which resulted in the revenues going to the general fun where Congress has been plundering it ever since. It was interesting. When this story was first released, all of the conservative talk show pundits only discussed the incident from the perspective of judicial overreach. Not a single one of them even suggested deporting illegal alien prisoners back to their native countries. Then, on the internet, the comments from the rank and file citizenry suggested just that as the obvious solution.
