The Journal News will have blood on its hands if a criminal uses their "outing" to target homes to rob (of legal guns held by law-abiding citizens). This reminds me of the Australian DJ's who punked the nurse into believing they were Queen Eliz and Prince Phillip. How well did that work out?

Well, based upon the belief that criminals will not target the home of gun owners, you ought to be happy. No intruders.

Unfortunately, that only holds true when the home is occupied. When the home is empty, the guns within present a tempting target for burglars.

In a shocking display of intimidation tactics, a New York newspaper took the time to gather every publicly-available address of every gun owner in the lower Hudson valley region and publish them publicly on its website. The Journal News published gun owners' home addresses in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties.

Understandably, people were outraged:
