And taxing the rich is not an issue of whether "they can afford it" or whether "they're hurting as much as the poor." It's the issue that when you tax the rich more, the poor are hurt more as the rich are the job-creators. The rich invest in and start new businesses. ALSO, even frivolous spending by wealthy people creates jobs. Think when a wealthy person buys a yacht... metalworkers and framers, woodworkers and framers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, anyone working in the fields related to the materials necessary to build a yacht, yacht salespeople, yacht interior designers, yacht furnishers. Why should I give more of a damn about whether he spends time with his family then he does? It's HIS responsibility to afford to care for his family, not mine. Responsible people wait to be in a financial position to have children. I'm supposed to have sympathy for someone who has children that he couldn't afford? And then express my sympathy by holding off on having my own kids so that I can support his? The wealthy "exploit and soak others for a living?" Obviously you've never run a business or have any clue of wealth-creation.
