I remember watching an ultrasound of my first daughter. We watched her raise her thumb to her mouth, miss, and poke herself in the eye! It was hysterical! “It” wasn’t “it” any more. That was MY daughter. I went back to work the next day and told anybody who would listen – and a few who wouldn’t – about my daughter. Unfortunately, if someone is set on resisting the truth, even something so convincing as an ultrasound won’t make a difference.

A friend of mine recently became the father of identical twin girls. He posted ultrasounds on his Facebook page showing one girl with her arm around the other -- and after they were born, lying side by side in their crib in just the same way. If that doesn't tell you something, you're not paying attention. P.S. Abortion isn't an UNDO button -- it doesn't make you unpregnant. Abortion makes you the mother of a dead baby.

There is something existential about sitting around the den during the holidays and watching home videos from when the children were young, dad was thin, and mom was trying to hold it all together amid the craziness.

In those moments, watching while sister holds hot chocolate, brother holds a glass of tea, and dad sips coffee, comments fly—like “look how dirty Tommy’s face was” and “Sally must have done her own hair that day” and “Mom still looks as young as she did then.”
