So? Raise your children not to do foolish things. Petition your state or local government to prohibit them. Pay for advertising about the evils of things you think are harmful. Why would you want the Feds to make up stupid things all the time and waste our money while doing it? Ron Reagan and Ron Paul both said gov't only makes things worse. I agree.

Children with few natural athletic talents would consume steroids... with horrific consequences... during pre-teen years to bulk-up for sports. You might want to rethink your positions on 'liberty' and Libertarianism. Educated people generally act more responsible than those not educated.

I like to bet on sports. Having a stake in the game, even if it's just five bucks, makes it more exciting. I also like playing poker. "Unacceptable!" say politicians in much of America. "Gambling sometimes leads to 'addiction,' destitute families!"

So politicians ban it. It's why we no longer see a poker game in the back of bars. Half the states even ban poker between friends -- though they rarely enforce that.
