Scottie I agree with you on principle, but we who can read know the Liberals and the republicans both started reaching in to the SS pie way back in the 60's. If it had not been used for other than what it was intended it would still be short, but not nearly as short. In fact if our elected servants had done their job instead of just securing their elective base 24/7, a few small adjustments to deductions could have been made over the last 60 years. I am 71 and do know how to read, write and do math. Schools in the 40's and 50's really did teach the three R's plus History and Civics. There was no bell curve and no, " No one left behind" rule. I knew many kids who took the same grade over. Some never graduated. Such is Life.

On your comment on Social Security, In 1965 there was 52 TRILLON DOLLARS LOCKED in the Social Security Trust Fund. In 1995 an Economist done some research on it an calulated that if President Johnson would have left it alone there would have been over 100 TRILLON dollars in the Trust fund.

President Obama may be the most honest politician in elected office today. After his reelection in November, not only did we sentence our Country to four more years of big government but we also took away any reason for President Obama to lie or spin his socialist agenda.   He made no secret of his intentions on the campaign trail.

Indeed, where we ought to direct complaints about integrity is among the conservative movement. Why should the Republicans we elected stand up to cut spending and cut Government when the base is not willing to do the same?  Conservatives keep...
