Ron Paul is a person / topic that brings out the worst in Medved. So much of this column is just trash and too much to counter in a humble comment-but his assertion that our unconstitutional prohibition against alcohol was OK because a previous generation allowed to happen is illogical.

This is ridiculous. Chapman clearly doesn't have an economic clue. I'm going to show this column to Chapman in a year or two. I'm sure he'll have lots of excuses.

Some have said it in various ways. I'm saying it again: The proper term for this corrupt activity is CRONYISM. Period. It has nothing to with capitalism-it is a bastardization of it. Crony Capitalism is an oxymoron.

"Crony capitalism" is an oxymoron. It's either cronyism or capitalism. Why would Stossel blur that distinction and give capitalism an undeserved black eye?

Obama is a socialist. Imagine if he were allowed to advance his true agenda? Instead he is a rubber stamp President for the Social Democrats. The mask has been ripped off the entire Democrat Party-that is the revelation. They voted in lock-step for the biggest socialist piece of legislation ever. But Medved prefers to obsess about Carter. Medved, O'Reilly and the others who adopt this above-the-fray attitude actually do the conservative cause a disservice. Obama and the Democrats fight dirty. Refusing to acknowledge their tactics and true motives is naive. Might as well "bring a knife to a gunfight".

There is more real information in this column than we ever received about the Obamacare bill.

If Democrats don't want to be called socialists they shouldn't pass socialist policies like Obamacare. Barack did us a favor by exposing Pelosi, Reid, Frank and Dodd et al for the extremists they are. The chose an America hating anti-capitalist as their chief and the party is disintegrating.

Corporate America provides the jobs and the tax revenue that flows from them. The government has no money until it seizes it from us and our corporations. If they are running things then why are they paying the second highest corporate tax rate on earth? Bigger government will kill us all.

The unfunded liabilities are going to topple our economic house of cards and otherwise intelligent liberals are going to wonder why. Many actually do good work in the private sector yet are blissfully ignorant of the budget mess. This is modern socialism. the redistribution of wealth is not done in real time-no one would tolerate the confiscation. But you tell them it's being put away for their retirement and they accept it. Soon when liberal baby boomers find out their retirement funds are non-existent, the pitch forks will come out. When the rage subsides they will be undergo a conservative conversion and wonder whey half the nation is not paying income tax.

Lefties support left wing dictators and everything they do simply because a different tyrant that they percieve as right wing preceeded them. Then there is the mandatory "support of the US government" or a US Corporation. No litmus test necessary. Intentions-not deeds-are what counts. Spouting socialist rhetoric while executing thousands and oppressing millions makes it OK for the naive left.

It is very simple to see that Cuba has been ruled with an iron fist for over 50 years by a sadistic thug. Whatever Batista was Castro has proved again that there is always the possibility of worse. Defenders of Castro are not to be taken seriously. The ridiculous claims of Cuban "health care" do not pass the smell test.
