Democrats are the evil power mad b@stards on one side of the aisle; Republicans are the evil power mad b@stards on the other side of the aisle. Between them we have; the war on (some) drugs, unconstitutional gun control, the (un)Patriot Act, TSA, theft of our money (through taxes) to support those who will not work, unelected bureaucrats writing our laws, abuse of the “executive order” power of the President, etc. They use the power of media to divide us into groups; ethnicity, class, liberal/conservative, young/old, etc.. They number 546, counting the 9 black robed tyrants on the Supreme Court, we number over 320 million; and yet we allow them to dictate to us how we should live. Something is wrong with this picture.

I would agree to your first law mandating 25 years to anyone commiting a violent crime with a firearm. Howver I disagree with your felon in possession laws. If someone is deemed so unsafe as to possess the best means available to date(ie a gun) then keep them locked up. Once someone has completed their sentence they should have all of their rights reinstated.

Marriage in of itself is a Religious ceremony. When it comes to the state it is a contract; ie you can go to a JP, then later if you so choose, go to a church to marry. People arguing for gay marriage and against a NDP based on "seperation of church and state" are hypocrites. On the one hand they want to use the force of government guns for their pet peeve (gay marriage), yet they cite seperation of church and state for prayer.

I have been reading Townhall for a few years. Lowering onself to anothers level does nothing. Let him ridicule, disrespect other posters. Continue to challenge him on facts and disregard any playground antics. We must raise ourselves above the BS. Like I said I do not agree with most of his beliefs, every once in a while he says something useful.
