A worthy post and an intelligent response, thank you. Well said, how can I criticize Mr. Goldberg without engaging in ad hominem? By sticking to the facts, not opinions of Mr. Goldberg's character, the error Mr. Goldberg made by attacking Mr. Trump's character without a scintilla of proof. He called him a scorpion, clown, narcissistic, lothario, self-promoting and insincere, all opinions and highly inflammatory ones, at that. If he had turned his writing skills to criticising Mr. Trump's ideas, instead, we might all have learned something useful. Instead, we were fed a steady diet of Trump-hate. The column, while well-written and entertaining, was designed to tear down Mr. Trump as a viable candidate. I wonder why Mr. Goldberg...

Sorry, by ad hominem I'm referring to the error of attacking the person, rather than his ideas. "Scorpion" "Clown" "Narcissistic" "Lothario" "self-promoting" and "insincere" are the words that jump off the page at me. It seems that Mr. Goldberg has a personal problem with Mr. Trump. By suggesting that Townhall drop Mr. Goldberg's column, I'm remembering the hatchet jobs that another former Townhall columnist, Katherine Parker, a RINO scribe if there ever was one, inflicted on Sarah Palin. Mr. Goldberg is an obviously intelligent and gifted writer. Far better for us, the readers, if he would stick to the facts and stop the name-calling. We learned nothing from his column except that he has a bad case of Trump-envy. I've seen a...

Great hatchet job, Mr. Goldberg. Ad hominem attacks are so boring. Please dump this guy, he belongs on the Huffington Post. The minute we get a candidate who can face down Obama, RINO writers start trying to tear them down.
The MSM deliberately conceals the inconvenient fact that Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers is a practicing Christian. “I grew up knowing what a stable relationship was by my parents’ example and how it centered on Christ,” Rodgers says, “When our family had its ups and downs, I knew my parents relied on God for everything and He always got us through those rough spots.” “It is my daily walking in faith and dealing with life issues and not giving into temptation that can be very challenging,” he adds. “I am always struggling in finding time to daily grow in my faith. If you are not in the Word or focusing on Christ, or into prayer, you can’t help but slip at times.” A verse that is special to him is John 10:10: “I have come in order...
Nice try, Taffy. You give away your endgame by arrogantly labeling the Christians and Catholics who form the majority in the United States with a made-up term "christianistas." Hereafter, all those who pull this stunt shall be known as Taffynistas. Like name-calling when the tables are turned? Dismissing Chaudary as a "radical cleric" is a clever ruse but it falls short of the facts and the truth: Wahhabism advocates same thing (verbatim) as Chaudary, and it's the dominant sect of Islam in the Gulf. Of course you can find 5 radical anythings (priests, rabbis, Taffynistas) to try to prove your point, but you're missing the larger picture. Chaudary is simply stating the truth from the Islamic point of view. Dismissing him as a...

The existence of the United States Coast Guard is no mystery. Serving the nation since 1790, when it wasestablished by Alexander Hamilton and known as the Revenue Cutter Service, Team Coast Guard's motto is Semper Paratus - always prepared. Its 30,000 active duty men and women, in addition to the 30,000 men and women of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the 8,000 men and women of the Coast Guard Reserve are America's shield.

He's right. I was on a double-decker bus tour that went right past the Lincoln Memorial. A couple of dozen empty plastic water bottles at the foot of a statue near the memorial, and plenty of other trash stewn about on the Mall. How hard would it have been for them to bring plastic garbage bags? Unbelievable! This isn't some shopping center or movie theater. Next to Arlington, it's our nation's most hallowed ground, memorials to our most revered leaders. The attitude is revealing.
