Whether or not the tax cuts are / were wise would depend on the scales of the economy and of the problem tackled. I might agree that we need to be doing far more about Islamic-Fascism, and thus tax cuts were inappropriate. But I'm afraid those tax cuts are part of a broader U.S. attitude of "don't worry; be happy" / a very child-like attitude that nothing bad could ever happen (and thus there is no need to ever prepare for it). Had the tax cuts been avoided, and if the government _had_ more revenue, I doubt that any of the extra revenue would have been used to oppose Islamic-Fascism.

Thomas Sowell's basic economics is available for purchase. You obviously have a very stupid understanding of economics and the tax base. The Laffer curve proved conclusively that taxation above a certain point is regressive and the wealthy (lots of libs I might add) take their money and leave the free market and the idea that you can take the job creators and wring every cent out if them and have a gain in tax revenue is the worst form of wishful thinking. The facts are an increased tax base equals increased revenue. The last 4 years have only shown that a federal reserve WILLING to print dollars is capable of creating a government created bubble which will burst. Inflation will be here and is already here in hidden ways-food,fuel etc....
When President Barack Obama and others on the left are not busy admonishing the rest of us to be "civil" in our discussions of political issues, they are busy letting loose insults, accusations and smears against those who dare to disagree with them.

Like so many people who have been beaten in a verbal encounter, and who can think of clever things to say the next day, after it is all over, President Obama, after his clear loss in his debate with Mitt Romney, called Governor Romney a "phony."

Innumerable facts, however, show that it is our Commander in Chief who is Phony...
