Medved it may be to your credit that you do not recognize what Obama is but you need to wake up. Your Right Turn was not far enough.

be calling for the prez to resign if he sends more troops since that is going against her beliefs? Then her agreeable buddy Joe would be prez and she would be happy. Hmmm - good example of the confused mind set she represents.

Makes one realize that if this administration were a movie, would win Best Comedy hands down.
Phenomenally succinct and on point.

My "hope" is that the left will outlaw themselves since they are so strongly committed to the separation of religion and state.

States in a Fiscal Hole They Dug

Any rational person would look at the financial woes in the states and the federal government and conclude that large, overspending, irresponsible government bureaucracies are the enemy. But one must recognize that two statisticis from the 90's doom us to the downward spiral. In that decade, for the first time, more people worked for government than for the private sector and more people in the private sector worked for service industries. Therefore, there are too many people with vested interests in large government, which produces no actual wealth, and the private sector produces less actual wealth. Does not take much thinking to guess the future.

Health Care Delayed

Are you familiar with the itemized deduction schedule for form 1040? In each category there is an adjustemnt factor you have to subtract from any amount claimed based on a percentage of your income. For health care, this percentage is so large that it more than cancels out costs for most families. There was a time when this correction factor did not exist, but that was before the government got so damn greedy. I had a discussion with a younger employee a few years back and his ignorance of the many deductions which used to be available was comedic. Your current government relies on your ignorance to take you to the cleaners. Don't hold your breath waiting for any resonable changes to be made. It will take proactivity on our parts to get...
I have just gone on Medicare and am now more familiar with the details. Medicare does not charge me much personally, but the coverage is nearly bare bones, having many restrictions on services and days covered in hospital. To obtain equivalent coverage to what I had from my employer backed offerings, I still purchase a private supplemental policy (Part A/B Plan D) and a private drug policy (Part D) at about one third the cost of my previous plans. These are private plans which will take care of most of my needs. Given these facts, one wonders how Medicare can be so expensive. I am betting it is due to the inordinate overheads, waste, and corruption which are inherent in any government run program. An analysis of the efficiency of...
Thank you Curtal Friar for enumerating the sound actions of the DCI, of which I was not aware. That organization should be given the Presidential Medal of Freedom or the Congressional Gold Medal for it's service.
