?"Obama's Executive Order Authorizes Peacetime Martial Law": I don't know if I want to agree that his action is only a re-authorization of the 1950 Defense Production Act. His hand picked departments and programs are entirely controlled by him, with absolutely no oversight by congress. He will have control of all energy sources, commodities, transportation of supplies and enforcement. This may have a bearing on Congresses move to go around the President with the pipe line. One thing for sure, before Congress can take any action on the keystone, they will have to contend with the Executive Order first.

Look Sam, Newt is a person who has admitted his indiscretions. I realize it is not enough to you who like to throw stones, but at least he admitted he wants to give the rest of his life to Christian values and bring our country back to our Constitutional principles. Have you ever heard anything like that from Mitt Romney? Frank E. Vincent

I really like the Town Hall magazine (townhall.com). I especially like to read the comments. I find that many of the comments contain truths that have been recently overlooked. So, I just want to say thanks for your comments, and you ideas. (The common eye sees only the outside of things, and judges by that, but the seeing eye pierces through and reads the heart and the soul, finding there capacities which the outside didn't indicate or promise, and which the other kind couldn't detect.) Your rig;ht. But speaking for Christians it is bad for us. If you are a Christian you should think about it. Mitt Romney is a Mormon and admittedly he is not a Christian.

Jackie, you don't have to sell true conservatives on who is the most knowledgeable. Newt has shown his character and objectivity over the many years as a servant to America. If I have to choose a distant second of the candidates who are still running, then I would have to pick Rick Santorum. But as he calls himself a Conservative, his record places his conservatism values below compromise. Seriously, I'm tired of the compromising because our problem as Republicans are that we compromise our values, our goals, and our principles. We end up at the wrong end of the spectrum, not voting for conservative ideas, but always voting for liberal ideas. We might vote against those liberal ideas, But conservative ideal's are never in the middle.

What kind of reasoning are you making? You may consider reviewing the list of candidates that are running for president.

Jacoby you are wrong! Wrong! Wrong! This is the way it went. American's are upset over the fact that Article 1 of the constitution is being abused by the President. So when he subjected the Churches to go against their basic religious principles he was truly abusive of our rights. What irritates me is people like you that are supposed to be conservative never mentioning the abuse to our Constitution but blasts someone who stands up for those religious rights. Rights that all America OWNS! Have you looked up the words that you condemn Rush for using. You condemn the words but do you also condemn the meaning in relation to her actions? Well I condemn you for your article! Frank E. Vincent
