When it comes to economic freedom (the ability & ease of starting a business & growing it without government interference), the top 3 places are: Hong Kong, Singapore & Australia; with only Singapore improving as compared to last year. #7 was Chile, which also was the only other nation to improve year over year in the top ten (the USA is now # 10). So if you speak Spanish, Chile might be the place to go. If you speak only English, Singapore or Australia (Singapore was a former British colony) would be good. As China gets richer & more powerful, Singapore might be the best. You can get high paying jobs in Singapore if you speak both English & Chinese.

Actually you also need to be pretty smart, or well educated in science/computers/engineering, etc to compete in Singapore.

Referencing a “Question of the Week” from last month, in which I expressed guarded optimism that America could be saved, she wants to know what I would do if things go the wrong way.

In other words, what if things go really wrong and America suffers a Greek-style fiscal collapse? And imagine how bad that might be since there wouldn’t be an IMF or European Central Bank capable of providing bailouts to the United States.
