In response to:

The 100th Anniversary of U.S. Income Taxes

1913 began the countdown to the financial collapse of the USA with the implementation of the Income Tax & the Federal Reserve. The countdown is now almost complete & appears now to have become irreversible. The average American is now dependent on government handouts & they keep re-electing the same crooked politicians who are in the pockets of the Central Bankers. Our Founding Fathers did not want a Central Bank or an Income Tax & they wanted the US Dollar to be tied to a fixed amount of gold or silver. European Central Bankers got America to commit slow suicide with the Federal Reserve, the Income Tax & the decoupling of the US Dollar from gold & silver so that it is now worth only the paper it's printed on.

Well said. The kabuki theater of the Democratic and Republican establishments serves well to create the illusion of principled differences, when in fact both party establishments always support unsound money, neverending bailouts of the world banking cartel by way of the Federal Reserve, and ever-increasing removal of liberty.

The result is death of the middle class, pushing all into serfdom. Anyone who thinks the "us and them" scenario is left vs. right, or Democrat vs GOP, or socialist vs capitalist, has missed the reality. The real us vs them, which people don't see, is the ruling elite of BOTH parties and their worldwide cronies. They are the masters, they are totalitarian socialists/fascists (they're functionally the same).

So, while it is true that the reality of the struggle is socialism versus capitalism, most don't even know what real capitalism is, and they fall for the lie that the GOP establishment actually supports real capitalism.

And most don't know that socialism is a fancy euphemism for oligarchic totalitarianism. (A small ruling elite owning and controlling nearly everything, while the masses increasingly starve under crushing tax theft and the police-state tactics needed to support that theft.

Hold on to your guns, you're going to need them.

Frank130 and JustMC, you both are right on target. The sad part is that so many fellow Americans either don't see it or simply choose to ignore it. The neat trick by the elite's has been to allow the rest of us to keep just enough to keep most of us happy and producing while while they take most of the fruits of our labor in the form of inflation through the Federal Reserve. Where will it end?

James92 - It will end in revolution. When I do not know. But given the exponential nature of the growth of interest over time, i.e. the exponential growth curve of the ruling elite, time might be short.

This week marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 16th amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which made it legal for the U.S. federal government to impose taxes upon the income earned by Americans. Since income tax season in the United States has officially begun, we thought we'd mark the occasion by revisiting our original Form 1040 tool, where you can find out how much of the money you earned last year would have been taken from you by Uncle Sam back in 1913!

Back then, of course, you would only have...
