"I believe people are basically good,..." No liberal sincerely believes this. Liberals are government worshippers, and government's one only tools are FORCE and FRAUD: propaganda and coercion. If the speaker sincerely believed that people are basically good, he'd never condone the sort of pervasive, dare I say TOTALITARIAN, government that liberals advocate. (Except for abortion, of course; that's their sacrament.)
