Hope for Every Man

Homosexuality is, and always has been a choice. It is not different from any other sin in that respect. All sin is equally black and evil in God's sight, but even in the Holy Bible, homosexuality gets special treatment in several places. In the Law Leviticus 18:22 says "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination" In chapter 20 it demands capital punishment: 13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. and Romans Chapter 1 shows the downward spiral of sin that leads to this ultimate state of depravity: 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and...
and ignore the beep when another call comes in on my cell. I think stopping one conversation to answer another call is so incredibly rude that when someone does it to me, I hang up and wait for them to call back. I usually look to see who is calling and then call back when I'm done with the first person.

At least to some extent. I hate working overtime to pay for gifts for people I see once or twice a year because I'm "obligated" somehow by some unwritten law of Holiday giving. I love to give to those I'm truly close to. I see about half the money we spend each Christmas as wasted money. I really just want to celebrate the birth of Christ without all the pressure of buying and giving until my budget is busted.

Love them. I love to start the conversation and let them tell me their stories from their time in. One of my best friends was in Vietnam. get him started and he will talk for an hour about the places and people and missions. If you show them you are interested, most of them love to talk about their time in. Our up and coming generation seems not to care, but that's not universal.

Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marines: active duty or post military, I salute you and love you.

I don't think you're ever really "ex-military", you're just active duty or post active duty. It something that doesn't get out of your blood, ever. My grandfather was a WW2 Navy vet, and the last time I saw him alive he still loved to tell me his...

Consecutive Term? I Think Not!

I have for many, many years been a strong supporter of term limits. Never, ever allow politicians more than two terms in any office. That gives them enough time to accomplish their goals, but cuts short their power structure since all their supporters would know they won't be there forever. If they aren't getting the job done in the first term, nix them for the second and get someone else, and no matter what they do, get fresh blood every other election.

On top of that, they should all have to return to society with the exact same benefits and options as the rest of us to live under the laws they helped pass. No golden fleece retirement funds or health care packages, or any other perks. Let them collect their pay and...
