I hear my conservative friends decrying the reliance on foreign oil, when the US only has 3% of the entire world reserves in our jurisdiction. The US will not make it on 3% and we do need other forms of energy. Is it that clean energy is too liberal? What if metamaterials were to allow 90% solar radiation conversion to electricity at less cost than coal powered electricity? Would it be too liberal to have plentiful clean energy? Why is it that in order for conservatives to feel good about themselves they must support dirty, pollution creating energy?
