“which speaks volumes about naive producers.” This is the network that gave us Walter Cronkite leading the way on biased reporting (e.g. focus on small anti-war protests while ignoring much larger ones supporting the war, much like their coverage of tea party gatherings in more recent times), and that gave us Dan Rather's biased reporting on obviously fake documents regard former President Bush's military record. Naive, or just another example of their bias?

CBS finally apologized Sunday night one week after the television show “Amazing Race” broadcast what critics called an “anti-American” segment that offended Vietnam War veterans.

“We want to apologize to veterans – particularly those who served in Vietnam – as well as to their families and any viewers who were offended by the broadcast,” said host Phil Keoghan in a statement at the beginning of Sunday’s night’s episode. “All of us here have the most profound respect for the men and women who fight for our country.”

The episode caused widespread outrage among war veterans.
