Hugh when are you going to drop this childish Looming Tower Litmus Test? There are plenty of good reads on Islam--no one tome has a monopoly on the true story. It's like someone saying anyone who supported Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court should be considered an ignoramus on legal matters, or that anyone who lobbied for the Iraq Mistake is hopelessly out of his depth on foreign policy. Tests like these shut down the conversation and say more about the speaker than the target--just like your arbitrary Looming Tower nonsense.

Hugh have you ever read "The Looming Tower"? Anyone who has would reject the idea behind this filibuster out of hand. Anyone who hasn't isn't a serious voice on these issues.
It's not just politicians and the media. The Tea Party polls lower than the ebola virus in the population at large (likely because at least the ebola virus is non-partisan). No one wants to rule you--they just want you to go away.

Karl Rove Is Not a Conservative

If what you say is true Paul Ryan is no conservative either because he voted for all the same junk. And neither are the 99% of conservative media on the internet and elsewhere who supported George Bush 100% of the time no matter what he did. Where was the criticism when it was needed?
re:"But none of these beliefs are good journalistic practice." No offense Hugh, but you're the worst person in the world to be judging journalistic practice. Remember when you predicted a Santorum victory the night he lost by double digits? Or when you predicted a McCain victory in the days before the 2008 election? Or when you wrote Painting the Map Red before one of the biggest routs in republican history? This latest pollster thing you're on shows you're incapable of learning from your mistakes. It's a trait that's largely shared by your party and one of the main reasons President Obama will be reelected.
Problem is, it's not history you're remembering--it's a TV movie.
