The protesters are not cool but ignorant savages. Heil Hitler? The NAZIs were socialists. The and the protesters would have much in common. Tell them to go back to the jungle and mooch there.

The Nazis were fascists, not socialists. Fascists don't believe in the state owning all the means of production, only in using regulations to CONTROL the companies. This may seem like a fine point, but its an important one.. because the existance of private property allows folks to believe they have more freedom than they do. Which means fascism is a LOT easier to sell (just look at the US for a shining example of this).

The union protesters shouting "Heil Hitler" against people whose views they don't agree with are the sad companions to the scuzz here on TH who shout "homo!" or "commie!" or "Marxist homo!" at everyone whose views they don't agree with. It's fine to judge the actions of the union protesters in Michigan as being wrong, but please, don't embarass yourself by pretending that most of the posters on TH are any different.

Michigan is one step closer to becoming a Right to Work state. Last night, both the state House and Senate passed bills that would forbid the public sector unions from taking 2% out of workers’ paychecks for dues payments, regardless of whether or not they’re members. The bills can’t be passed into law until Tuesday, owing to procedural requirements, but they’re almost sure to prevail, at which point Gov. Rick Snyder has vowed to sign them.
