They smoked it too! Washington in fact, preferred it to tobacco.
You may want to check http://www.constitution.org/bcp/colright.htm as you will see that the first 'draught' also known as Sullivan's Draught, was written in 1775 and presented to the First Continental Congress on May 26, of that year. It was known as the Declaration of Colonial Rights. The Declaration of Independence prior to revision by Benjamin Franklin, was written by Jefferson. "In this tense climate, the Continental Congress met in Philadelphia with the intention of voting for independence from England. In anticipation of this vote, the Congress selected a committee to draft a declaration of independence. The committee, composed of John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Robert R. Livingston, and Roger Sherman, in turn instructed Thomas Jefferson to write the declaration." (from: http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/jefferson.htm)

http://fixamerica-fredmars.blogspot.com/2011/10/education-redux.html I agree that competition between schools make for better education. Look at how many years that Microsoft has the monopoly on Windows. And it still stinks! Look at how America college graduates fare against other nation's graduates. Former NY teacher and a Teacher of the Year wrote about it in full detail. All the hows and whys it became what it is today and what we need to do to fix it will take a generation to accomplish. .

The don't care if Gingrich or Romney is nominated because each have enough baggage to give Obama another term. FACT that you can spin any way you want, although it was obvious in 2008 that he was third rate in the GOP then. Gingrich is a great "idea" man but his philandering and questionable ethics while Speaker is cause for pause and it will be ammunition for the Obama Team to destroy his chances to beat Obama. Ron Paul? Nada. Yes, there's propaganda about his foreign policy and tripe about defense. Our military supports him more than the rest combined including Obama. In fact based on what foreign press have to say, Ron Paul is who Obama fears! http://fixamerica-fredmars.blogspot.com/2012/03/obama-issues-kill-order-regarding-ron.html
