ABC Fired Stossel?

Many years ago while in graduate school at Baylor, I read Atlas Shrugged and loved it. More recently, however, I have come to see that Ayn’s atheism greatly influenced her political philosophy for immense harm, harm that I did not understand when I first read her.

She saw selfishness as universally intrinsic to the human condition, and that is flat out not true. For people who are haters of God, it is true, but not for true biblically defined followers of Christ Jesus. The moral/spiritual commitment that defines us as true Christians is that of unselfish, holy, divine love. Profound commitment to this principle of life and action transforms us from living primarily for our own self aggrandizement to being part of the family...

We Are Not Ashamed; Are You?

The New Testament is not a magic book. It was written by good men and true as they were led of God to help others deal with certain problems in their lives as followers of the Son of God.

The main issues of the New Testament are the basic principles concerning the nature of God, the nature of Christ and the way of establishing right relationship between man and God through Christ in salvation. Satan has sown vast confusion in the minds of theologians, professors, pastors and laymen regarding all of these crucial issues.

However, knowing what the Scriptures mean by what they say is still only the starting point. Beyond that is our making the required daily commitment in harmony with that truth and living it out in...

Solving Whose Problem?

The Republican Party missed a terrific opportunity to do the country an enormous favor by running Dr. Sowell as their candidate for president last year. He would have made short work of Obama, revealing him as the naive, childish con-man he truly is. Dr. Sowell would have won in a mighty election landslide and would have begun leading this nation into the greatest revival of victorious Americanism this country has ever seen.

Instead, the thoroughly incompetent low level nincompoops ran a corrupt, mindless old man who didn't lose by a far greater margin only because of Sarah Palin. History will someday reveal what an awful waste of a magnificent opportunity that was. I dearly hope the chance for a Sowell presidency returns...

Solving Whose Problem?

Dr. Sowell is saying that wicked people do wicked things because their supreme value in life is their own self-aggrandizement. This life principle is the very heart and soul of evil. Their intrinsically evil nature renders them incapable of valuing the benefit of the nation above their own selfish interests. This seems perfectly normal to them from their selfishly irrational perspective, but sheer lunacy to us from our position of fundamental sanity.

As long as the voters continue to elect national leaders from among these people who are profoundly out of contact with reality (psychotic narcissists), it is lunatic of us to expect of them anything other than that which reflects what they genuinely are at heart.

If we...

Blame the Media for the Birther Movement

Our only protection against power hungry pathological narcissists in our political system is our US Constitution. When that is weakened, we are in greater danger of a dictator assuming totalitarian control in Washington. As it is strengthened, that and other dangers recede.

Thus, our supremely important patriotic duty as U.S. citizens is to support and defend our Constitution against those who would subvert it in any way. That is the oath we all take when we join the U.S. military, and, surprisingly, it remains our life-long absolute legal obligation whether in uniform or not.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is precisely why we must continue to insist on seeing Mr. Obama's original Birth Certificate, not a worthless...
Long before BO's election, I was trying to point out on the Internet that his real purpose, if elected, would be to destroy our capitalist economic system so that he could replace it with one based on the Marxist model. The evidence was all there, but few wanted to see it. Obama's duplicitous Utopian dream was much too seductive then and still is today although the shine is beginning to wear off quite a bit in the public mind of late. Utter failure has a way of doing that to cotton candy illusions spun by even the most charismatic magicians.

We seriously need to replace him in office before he reduces us to a third world country or worse. The other day on TV I watched a YouTube video of the sermon of a nationally known black...

Carrie Prejean, Sexting and a Lost Generation

There are many things I could say about this confused but dear soul, Carrie Prejean, but the most important thing about her is the fact that she is the poster girl for the apostasy of the bogus modern church.

I live in the middle of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, arguably the buckle on the Bible belt. From my experience of many years, one could visit a multitude of churches in this entire area and find a great many girls just like Carrie attending churches of all kinds in mindless flocks on any Sunday morning.

Going to church is primarily a social experience for them as, indeed, it is for their male counterparts. They have no idea what Christianity is, nor do they particularly care. They don't know how to become a...

Carrie Prejean's Disappearing Book Tour

F M Wrote: Nov 14, 2009 12:03 PM
Even most Christians are confused about the difference between moral failings (sins) and mistakes. We sin when we choose to live for our own selfish purpose and express that purpose in actions that are morally reprehensible. Actually, a sin can be highly beneficial to others while motivated by selfish motive, but that is rarely the case.

On the other hand, virtue is unselfish motivation regardless of whether we act from that motive in a manner that benefits others or unintentionally harms ourselves or others.

Thus moral virtue and moral evil, strictly speaking, are in our ultimate life motive or purpose and not, as is commonly assumed, in our actions. Our actions, however, almost always reflect the moral nature of...

Carrie Prejean's Disappearing Book Tour

I am a former professional actor who lived in Hollywood for years during my youth. Sad to say, I have seen many girls just like Carrie out there. They were raised in "Christian" homes without any real training in or knowledge of the basic principles of Christianity. They think they are Christians and know what they are talking about because they have listened to ministers and attended Sunday school for a long time.

But that is not even close to being the case. They have no idea what real Christianity is or how one becomes a biblically defined Christian. Furthermore, they are usually mistaken about their being genuine Christians themselves, as, I'm afraid is true of our lovely Carrie.

Carrie is a very young girl who...
In the very nature of the case, commercialism should have no part in celebrating the birth of Christ. Let the unbelievers have their Winter Holiday (even call it Christmas, if they wish) with all the trappings, and we Christians should choose another day, say January the 25th, to celebrate the true meaning of Jesus birth without commercialism, Santa, drinking and wild partying.

This is the real significance of Jesus birth. God and his "only begotten Son" decided to provide a better means, a "more perfect sacrifice," for making possible mankind's forgiveness for sin. They decided that God needed to provide incontrovertible proof that He was morally perfect while at the same time forgiving man's sins on the basis of mere...
