We need to look into the death of any bird or animal anywhere in the USA. Every citizen needs to have a crime scene kit for any dead creature such as road kill? I for one want to know what happened to that Opossum out on state road 4. We might need more Opossum crossing signs or the clossing of roads dangerous to the Opossum. They have every right to live free as we do. Save the Opossum!

This would start an entirely new program in our public school, and univeristies, because we would need a lot of new government employees to make sure the opossums learned how to read the signs. Then I could get a degree in Opossum Studies to go along with Black Studies and Gender Studies.

No one wants to send a species to extinction, but when a chicken that can be hunted and cooked for dinner is proposed as an endangered species, one has to question the entire program. When that proposed endangered species listing brings together representatives from oil, gas, and wind energy companies—as well as ranchers and farmers—you can be sure changes are needed in the way the Endangered Species Act (ESA) is applied.
