After being called out many times for poor spelling (as if it were an indication of degree of intelligence) I'm usually careful to edit and even then I make plenty of mistakes. I'm a bit of a grammar fanatic, but it wouldn't hurt if everyone paid more attention. This is a world where mistakes can become career breakers. Just ask any politician.
