While they are appropriate for officers to use while on duty,they are not apprpriate for use at the range for practice due to the fact that they cost roughly twice as much as copper jacketed ball ammo,which is what the majority of law enforement agencies use for practice.Which begs the question of why they need so much hollow point ammo,since most of their ammo is used for qualification & practice.
