Wishing You Capitalism on Earth

While it is certainly true that nothing involving human beings is perfect, the fact is that capitalism is a sclose to perfect and God's system as we can approach. This is because capitalism is NOT a system but, rather, neither more nor less than complete economic liberty (and liberty is precisely what God gave us) - the free market. It is not complaining to point out the fact that there has never been a socialistic intervention of any kind that has not made things worse than that default condition. It's simply recognizing history.

Too many people (including some religious leaders) are promoting the idea that re-distribution of wealth or “social justice” is the best way to foster peace. But Christians and Jews need only read the Old Testament to see that God condemns stealing and envy so much that he gave Moses commandments like: “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, and “You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods.”

And in the New Testament, Christ
