Your "facts" are merely the voices in your head. If you would care to give an example of such lying by the data gatherers (as opposed to government spin) you have my attention. More likely, you have no grasp of the differences between U-3 and U-6 or the differences between core and fully loaded inflation (or even that "inflation" is a monetary phenomenon not a price one). NBC is doing exactly what you blame government for doing - spinning the data such that they can discuss the jobs lost without considering the jobs GAINED that more than offset them. They are NOT reporting on a NET basis - they are providing just HALF the data - much as the "trade deficit" ignores the offsetting capital account SURPLUS.

So said Barack Obama in his State of the Union.

And for one of his ideas to reignite that engine, Republicans applauded.

"And tonight, I am announcing that we will launch talks on a comprehensive Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership with the European Union -- because trade that is free and fair across the Atlantic supports millions of good-paying American jobs."

One wonders if any of those in the hall who rose robotically at the phrase "free and fair" were...
