The Obama Culture Arrives

Yes, it is a closely divided country. But when you and so many like you take such pains to point out that Obama won by a smaller margin in 2012, and then OTOH you utterly ignore the fact that YOU LOST SEATS IN THE HOUSE IN 2012, aren't you being at least a little inconsistent?

The electoral college is designed to give a bigger margin of victory to the winner, and thus make it clearer that they were "the winner."

No, it was Karma relating to 47 million folks on food stamps now. Oh yeh, and a President that's just fine with that number. Yeh, that's the 47.

The last I heard was that Romney win 47% of the vote. Great symbolic Karma given his damning "47%" remarks, but still nearly half the country. It's astounding that the electoral college margin was as big as it was, but that's due to all the winner-take-all states.

Anyway, didn't all the RightWing types crow about Bush's 2004 "mandate" from a similiarly close win over Kerry?

I do not know of this "landslide crowing" of which you speak. Maybe I hang around with you RightWingNuts too much, but it seems to me that everybody realizes that Obama won bigger in 2008 than 2012, by far. I've heard that on the Sunday Talk shows, on the ABC/NBC/CBS news, not just on Fox.

When you liberals crow about Obama's "landslide" victory in this past election, aren't you being at least a little dishonest?
The year 2012 was a depressing time for people who are already pessimistic about the state of our common culture. Conversely, the re-election of Barack Obama, in large measure made possible by the heavy financial support of Hollywood, projects the optimism of the cultural Left. They anticipate increased blue-state voting patterns in favor of gay "marriage," legalized pot, gun regulations, and what next? Legalized prostitution? Euthanasia subsidized by Obamacare?

So let's just line up the cultural winners of Obama's America, where the only impediments to progress are those who believe in religion, manners and "family values."

Winner: Seth...
