I can come up with 3 answers: A) Luck B) Some non-spiritual knowledge of an impending flood C) God Option B with a bit of A seems much more likely to me than C.

@ Mark in CA - Read through it, pretty interesting, but I think this sums it up pretty well: "Although God’s intervention is difficult to prove scientifically, certain factors can be tested to show the plausibility of such an interpretation." Also read "Noah's Floating Zoo" which sort of answers my other question about the amount of animals/caring for them. Basically instead of the millions of animals the article says Noah would have only taken several hundred or just over a thousand onto the Ark which is definitely plausible. I actually will agree it could be possible for the Ark and Flood to exist as RTB describes, however, my real issue is what makes you think this was an act of God, and not just some guy who built a huge boat?

I was actually asking Mark for the link of the RTB article on it, however I am familliar with the other versions of the great floods throughout human history (I believe even the Pagans had one). One reason I am skeptical to use this as proof of a great flood is that most of the world was completely uninhabited by people at those times. What may appear to be a great flood covering all the lands in water would be much different to the Native Americans than it would be to us today.

You are right I haven't read much into the Ark specfially at RTB. You are right from an engineering stand point it probably is possible to build an Ark large enough to house all the animals needed. However, how could you explain the issues with animals needed specific diets, climates, animals such as insects with a much shorter lifespan than the journey of the Ark? I will read into the RTB site somemore on this, but I have a feeling there will still be some pretty big holes in the logic behind it.

I would argue it is part of the Republican party the same way Fox News is part of the Republican party.

I wasn't really trying to make an Israel vs Palestinian issue, just pointing it out.
