Aye, a wee dram and pint goes well with the studies! :)
We are not imposing our (USA) laws on him. Ms. Coulter was providing documentation that the US gov't, specifically Holder, could take action against Assange IAW our law. Which then takes away the inept bureaucrats excuse for not perusing the detention, possible extradition, or prosecution in another country or the Hague. And if we do get him then IAW the Geneva Convention, he could be tried for espionage and sentenced to death. You should at least become familiar with the subject before making false accusations about the US imposing it's laws on other countries. BTW: Assange would get better treatment under our laws then the other nations that have been harmed by this act of espionage.
Not bad, not bad. My tastes are a little different though so for a pistol I would love to get the Taurus 4510PLY-SS2, Public Defender in .410 GA. 2.5" / .45 LC Revolver. Load some .410 shells with rock salt for the unwelcome visitor. :) Now if I really could have whatever I wanted then I would go with a .50 Barrett or suitable substitute. Much easier to reach out and touch your target from distance! :)

Excellent article Mike. My only change would be using the NET Bible instead of the NASB.

And the is the issue at hand, "tradition". Walter is correct, that their are many passages in the Qur'an that coincide or support his premise. The problem is that Islam does not differentiate between the Qur'an and the Hadith while the Qur'an contradicts itself as Charles has pointed out, that Allah is not Triune, as is clearly delineated in the Gospels. One point of reference: While the Qur'an does require the reading and holds to the Torah and the Gospels it also answers questions differently. "Does Allah have a Son? If not (see sura 19:88-92), then we are not discussing the same GOD. (courtesy Unveiling Islam by EM Caner, EF Caner) Another point of reference: Is Allah the vicarious Redeemer and atoning Lamb of God, taking away...

Habitual Liar for Congress

"Yes, there is a mea culpa on not knowing the specifics of the Fair Tax (including the redistributive component to the poor)." Nice try however you too are using the same tactic as the misguided Representative. It is not a redistributive component to the poor only, everyone will receive the same "prebate". Therefore no one is "taxed" on their income for the necessities of life and individuals determine how to spend their income. I do understand why "those in power" especially the Congress would oppose the Fair Tax. They would no longer control nor have the power to "redistribute the wealth". They would become more accountable to the people and more in line with their Constitutional duties.

Robert, While we cannot judge another persons heart, we are to use discernment and wisdom to evaluate the actions and statements of others. President Obama has stated that he believes in "communal salvation" which is quite different than that written in the NT regarding salvation. When one looks at the history of Liberation Theology, one will see that it was a socialist movement using some NT quotes, IOW a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Beck's Rally: What Would MLK Do?

FlameCCT Wrote: Aug 30, 2010 3:01 PM
Bishop Jackson, I wouldn't presume to know what MLK would do however I do know he affected my life. While growing up in the 60s I learned from my father the same message that MLK articulated in his I Have A Dream. I saw the practical application and affect in my military career, in particular with SpecOps. It is not the color, economic class, education, political party, nor religion or lack thereof that matters to me, it is the individuals character and can they be trusted with my life. IMHO Reverend King's message was not intended for just one color of people but for all people of any color.

If You Want to Lead You Have to Read

I expect the poster has interaction with the major denominations (ELCA, PCUSA, ECUSA, SBC, etc.) which have been following a heretical path instead of the individual member continuing their own knowledge and advancement along the path that God prefers one to follow. Not to mention the sad lack of personal desire in most Americans to advance their knowledge in any area, much less science or theology.

Once one has accepted then 2 Peter 1 is a good place to start for a practical road map of the path to be traveled (especially verses 5-8.) http://bible.org/netbible/ From Simeon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, have been granted a faith just as precious as ours. May grace and peace be lavished on you as you grow in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord! I can pray this because his divine power has bestowed on us everything necessary for life and godliness through the rich knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence. Through these things he has bestowed on us his precious and most magnificent promises, so that by...
