There is nothing wrong with doing business in Taiwan and China, or Ghana or Uzbekistan, for that matter. Your income is taxed as a US citizen anyway. The US has a global tax policy. (Boy... ain't that grand!) But everything kevin348 cited above is the honest truth. The problem is the Left will tax us to oblivion without mercy, instead of letting enterprise work for everyone.
Offshore accounts pay higher interest and dividends. If you are an American citizen, you pay tax on all of your income, regardless of where it was made. Also, if you are in international business, it is easier to move money around when you are not using an American bank. If you LIVE and work offshore (an expatriot) you still have to pay taxes, but you get a $80,000, or so, exemption, because it costs a lot more for a US citizen to live most places overseas, and you have to pay taxes where you live.
Actually, Saverin could have... If you knew anything about Singapore. But I do get your point. Ayn Rand's, Atlas Shrugged, was right on. However, Ayn Rand, herself, was a Progressive Darwinist.
I agree. But, he being naturalized, he has proven to be nothing more than a hireling. You can use them as you need them, but they will only work for themselves. Walking away is not American, so good riddance. But.... If we could just get the Left and Obama's minions to move to the EU.....
Obama's America is appalling. America is waning under the influence of the Left. But if we, the good citizens, do not stand up to this wave of nonsense and ignominy, not only will our nation continue to sink more into disparity, the global economy will as well. It is not time to cut and run. Singapore is a great place. I lived there a few years. Beautiful, and I would jump at the chance to live there again. But.... I would never give up my American citizenship. Being American is not a matter of how much tax you pay. The people here are sovereign, and we can change government. That is not possible elsewhere. I think the Left should leave and become citizens of the EU. (Don't corrupt Singapore, please.)

If the Declaration of Independence was correct to say that people have inalienable rights, bestowed upon us by God, then that God has something to say about promiscuity. Homosexuality is forbidden by Him. So, I would how that a constitutional culture would promote the basic foundation and building blocks of the human race.... the family. A father, a mother, and their children. The purpose for government is to protect us... our families. Those who participate in promiscuous behavior do so by their own choice. Keep it to yourselves, and don't flaunt your choices to my children.
Of course DWS didn't remember saying that. One talking point looks like the next, after a few thousand of them. I've already forgotten the talking point of last Wednesday. What do you expect from the Borg, total recall?

There a difference between vetting and pummeling. Vetting is weighing issues, looking into past records, opinions, or such. Attacking the other with, at its core, opposite of what you should be standing up for (Newt on Bain), or catering to one camp of ideas only (the social issues people at the expense of anyone and everyone ELSE), only helps one vet one's self.
I could have gone along with this until he got to the Romney part. Does he think Romney was NOT the subject of taunting, in Mississippi, just two weeks ago? He failed to mention that there is an immigration problem. Our immigration policy is in shambles because it has not been enforced. Now so many are victims because of that. Rep. Gutierrez offered NO solutions.... only criticism. The typical tactic from the Left.... right out of Saul Alinsky's playbook.
