The Final Debate

Good article. My impression of the last debate mirrored yours and I wasn't surprised that the CBS and CNN snap polls had Obama winning the debate. I'm not so sure since Obama seemed like he was the contender versus being the president. I actually watch MSNBC on occasion and switched there right after the debate. Chris Matthews had that tingle going down his leg again, he was totally giddy. I'm not sure why since Obama's agenda for a second term has come down to Bayonets, Big Bird, Binders, Birth Control, and bi-Sexual marriage?

I didn't watch it because I can't stand to look at or hear BO. I was surprised by Romney's not going for the jugular, but I understand now why he did it--and he was wise to not engage in a childish back and forth with BO because that is exactly what BO was trying to do. No matter what Romney does, there are always those on the left and the right who will find fault. He is a wise man following his own intellect and experience. I have changed my opinion on Romney in the past 2 months. I think he is going to make a great president!
During Monday's debate, we went into some foreign territory. The election is going to be about the economy and the size of government, not foreign policy, but the task of a president—and, let’s not forget, a government—is most essentially to protect Americans. It is, at the most basic level, not as a manager or prophet or pop star, but as a commander-in-chief.

And that was what the debate was: a clear view for all of the two prospective commanders-in-chief. While they are similar in many ways, there were some minor differences that might have major consequences in the future.
