You are completely right. But wouldn't you think that as conservatives we could sneak in and buy another network or newspaper or something somewhere? I would have gladly seen Romney buy NBC or something. It amazes me that we don't bother to control more media. To me there is only one reason. Our republican leadership is not interested in conservative views or even getting some more control over what people see. That must means just one thing. They are also not conservative, are they? The answer is exactly that obvious. They only want it to look like a contest. They share the same goals, but they like for us to think of it as a contest.
I suspect the dems are laughing all the way to the whitehouse. Again we let them decide who the candidate was going to be. They chose Romney for us and we let them. Not Romneys fault I suppose? But if Romney was not a strong enoough candidate aginst John McCain, then who is Romney and why did the party crown his as the next candidate? Romney was shown to be incapable to begin with and we did what? Nominated the loser to McCain? The whole liberal party left wing needs to go and right now.

As a real conservative, I agree completely. I stopped posting anywhere when Romney was chosen. We had lost the fight then.

Do you have any idea how low taxes were in the 18th century? No immigration? Not in the 18th? Didn't the 18th still have slavery? Hate to say this, but the white man and his ships stopped by the coast of Africa and bought slaves from the more powerfull tribes that enslaved them. They actually traded for them. I ought to know, they were my forefathers. Blacks enslaved their own first and foremost.

Let me remind you that Romney stood for nothing, said nothing back and was afraid of his own shadow rather than deviate from his useless campaign speech. He has nothing to offer anyone and I guess young women noticed? Yes, I used to be republican. I am still a conservative. One that did not hold his nose this time around. No, I did not vote for Obama. No I also did not vote for Romney. I will not vote for anyone at all that refuses to fight for conservative pinciples. The press got him because he didn't defend anything. Not for you, me, or himself.

Brent; I hope above all else that once in while you actually read the posts you are receiving. I am a conservative. No, I have not been a republican since the party machine turned to Romney. Why? He could never be a candidate. Turns out he wasn't a candidate at all. He represented nothing. He stood for nothing. He gave us nothing to fight for other than a new face in office. A very liberal one at that. He had nothing to be inspired about. If we did without a president at all we would turn our own economy around. Obama gets in the way. Romney could have simply said; "I'll get out of the way". No plane fuel. No long speeches and no hoopla. That is exactly what Romney was. The face on the placard. Not a man who stood for anything.

So what did we learn this time? Any of you so-called republicans learn anything yet? This was the second left leaning candidate to lose against the left. So, I suppose the only thing you can think of now is to go further left? Just go do it as quickly as possible because keeping up with the real left is going to be like whiplash. The republican machine has proved it's merit. It is gone. The Tea parties gave them the house on a platter and they took our party over. This work for the rest of you? Or can we see the error of our ways and once and for all destroy the left wing of the republlican party? Choose again. Be willing to take the gloves off, or you cannot fight.
Got news. Reagan was a good man first, never a conservative and understood the libs very well since he was a transformed one. To be honest, understand the role of federal government and read the Constitution, conservatism is not required. Belief and patriotism darn sure are. A true faith in the one true God and honesty. After all that being liberal or conservative doesn't mean anything anymore.
My thoughts exactly. I haven't seen the repuglicans come up with a true conservate ---ever. Goldwater was as close as we ever got. So until we find a conservative it seems they just want us to reinforce their stupid choices for crown princes for the netherworlds of liberal politics. Just this once, I 'd love to see a state, a whole state, like SC vote against the republican establishment completely. Maybe they would notice conservatism if it shows up again. Let SC be the first to seceede from the republican party en masse. It would be hilarious. Heck they think they have us in the bag. I'd love it.
Why would I hope that one communist beats another in this election? Let's see how that would work. Obama gets beat because he broke his promises. OK; so have you ever seen a politician that didn't?Or; Romney wins and recreates national healthcare in his image. John F Kennedy gave Cuba to the Russians and then complained about it. A national hero. John F Kennedy got us involved in Vietnam. A national hero? Clinton turned over parts of Europe to the muslims. A great president? Obama turned over the whole middle east to the extremists. He'll be a national hero before its all over. He will only be great is he orders pizza in.
