Here's a different number you won't likely see elsewhere: $486 trillion, or ~$11.7 trillion per year. US EPA uses $9 million as the societal economic loss associated with one life unnecessarily shortened, regardless of the age of the person whose life was shortened, when justifying environmental control regulations. Abortion on demand in the US has unnecessarily shortened (ended) ~54 million lives since Roe vs. Wade. Assigning each of those lives the societal economic loss used by EPA for a life unnecessarily shortened, US society has lost $486 trillion as a consequence of abortion on demand, or ~$11.7 trillion per year (which is ~2/3 of annual GDP). That is a big issue!

I pointed out the $18,000 figure was clearly given to the campaign by Planned Parenthood and is the total cost some women spend on birth control throughout an entire lifetime.
