You can pull that long knife out now - the damage is done.

Islam is a religion and a system of government, though certainly not Christian. A mosque functions as a "church". Perhaps I should have written that some religions and some governments "believe they do have that market cornered". My bad. :-(

That was not an accusation, merely an observation. I sometimes wonder, however, if some churches believe they do have that market cornered. I have difficulty seeing "honor killings" as social justice, for example.

Perhaps their paymasters have them focused on other issues today, such as the Obama Administration "scandals", or the "unconscionable" insurance premium increases projected as the result of Obamacare.

The world is rife with examples of government force resulting in anything but social justice. Churches do not have a corner on the social justice market either.

You do not know that Teddy was unrepentant on his deathbed. Perhaps his confessor did know. Perhaps Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, Sibelius et. al. will be fortunate enough to repent on their deathbeds when the time comes. We will likely never have the satisfaction of knowing. The Church also openly supported Obamacare, though it has problems with the CINO Sibelius' misuse/abuse of her authority under Obamacare. The Church is also openly supportive of the welfare state, though it regrets its destruction of the family. God is perfect; the Church, government and the rest of us, not so much.

One wonders whether the pro-abortionists realize that it is never too late to correct for their own mothers' failures.

It is a shame you can't communicate how you really feel. :-)

US EPA uses $9 million as the "societal cost of a life unnecessarily shortened", regardless of the age of the person whose life is shortened, when "justifying" new or expanded environmental regulations. That would put the societal cost of abortion-on-demand somewhere "north" of $450 trillion since Roe vs. Wade. While I have not seen any corresponding information from US HHS, it would appear that HHS uses a large negative number in "justifying" its programs, thus treating a "life unnecessarily shortened" as a significant societal benefit. I am always impressed when government programs show a common purpose.
