So Bama wins, America and the Pubs lose and Cantor looks like he may challenge John B for Speaker. One cannot think that Obama has any moral compunction to make a deal on the Deficit with spending cuts. He has cut the Pubs off at their knees and now America will look like France. He will go for more taxes in the next 2 months and Pubs will cave as they always do. We will look too like an Imperial Presidency. It is sad to see that even though principled Pubs in the House voted against the Bill, Senate Pubs were cowards. And so liberalism wins again and our American heritage, economy, history and values all lose. At least they killed Obama's pay raise for the Govt. thugs and bureaucrats.

House Speaker John Boehner presented two options to his members today—to make an amendment that would add a package of spending cuts to the bill, an extremely risky move, or vote to adopt the deal and send it along to President Obama. After determining there wasn’t enough support to amend the legislation, which passed 89-8 in the Senate, the House is moving forward with an up-or-down vote tonight.

The decision to move ahead with the Senate bill — which allows tax rates to jump to 39.6 percent on income over $450,000 — came after House Republicans internally...
