The problem is , pupils from the last 4 decades, maybe more, have not had an education which would stress facts, stats, correct grammar, correct paragraphs in writing. All for PC reasons, minority complaints, liberal soft-headedness and oh yes, the cultural decline of the arts. Swearing, filth, lewdness, inanities, PC baloney has replaced a stress on reason, beauty, style, common sense, logic. One only has to view TV, films, even many books to see the absence of reality and an emphasis on FEELINGS, non factual opinions, race, color and little emphasis on past wisdom, heritage, history or values. When idiotic fans of Dorner march in the streets telling us what a genius and how awfully wronged this poor man of color has been, then one knows..

After a press conference held last week by Emeryville, California Police Chief Ken James, it’s easy to see a decline in both language and critical thinking skills in our country. And as Orwell thought, indeed civilized society may very well be in jeopardy.
