The Obama administration is just like an iceberg. What you see is only the tip of it, what will sink our ship (country) is what we are not seeing. I can guarantee you that if every agency was examined, you would find the same "pattern of behavior" in all of them. Once Congress gets done with the State Department, Justice Department and Treasury Department, they can move on to the EPA, Department of Education and Department of Health and Human Services.

I guess Harry Reid (and a lot of the other over the hill gang) haven't gotten the message, WE ARE FED UP WITH HOW THINGS ARE DONE (or not done) IN WASHINGTON. It is time to get more shakers and movers like Ted Cruz who come to Washington to DO THE JOB that they were elected to do, REPRESENT THEIR CONSTITUENTS.

Unfortunately, at Johns Hopkins, just as it is around our country, a few seem to always make the decisions for many. In my opinion, the losers here are the students of Johns Hopkins who will not hear a remarkable American speak at their commencement. I am not surprised that Dr. Carson withdrew from speaking. He expressed his views regarding the definition of marriage, just as Dan Cathy did, because that is his belief and not because he is trying to win friends and influence enemies. When Dan Cathy and Chick-fil-A were attacked by the media, the left and the LGBT community, people lined up around the corners to show their support for Dan Cathy. I feel sure that those same people would line up to show their support for Dr. Carson.

This is one of the best columns on this subject I have read. I currently work in an elementary school and totally agree that government needs to get out of the job of raising children. Our current decline began with the breakdown of the family and that was such a success that now they are working on breaking down Christian values and religion. The ethnic makeup of my school is very diverse, but I can tell you that those students who have parental and family support and nurturing and who have strong Christian values bloom and those who don't just wither on the vine.

Unfortunately, many of these politicians are just like the other leeches who survive off those of us who work everyday trying to make a living. The "something for nothing" is just too good to be true but they are willing to take what they can get now and to hell with the future.

All parents know that the best way to deal with temper tantrums is not to cave in the the childish behavior. It is time for the people of this country to be the "adults in the room" and shut down this cry baby!!!!! This is the time for us to look at everyone in Washington, Democrats and Republicans, and decide who is actually representing the people of this country and not their own personal agendas. Since we don't have term limits for Congress, only WE THE PEOPLE can limit the terms of those who don't represent us. We need to clean house in 2014,

I also saw Ms. Maxwell on Hannity and agree that that is one of the stupidest statements I have ever heard. REALLY!!!! She said several times that MOST women are raped by "someone" they know. If that is the case, then THOSE women need to pick their acquaintances more carefully. Men who as boys are taught to respect women will not grow up to be men who rape women. Women who as girls are taught to demand respect will not grow up to be raped by "someone they know". For those others who didn't learn that lesson, they may need a refresher course from Smith and Wesson.

The last line of your post says it all "Government school administrators want kids to worship government, not God". Worshipping government and looking to government to solve your problems is what is leading our country into a downward spiral. People need to look to God for guidance in their lives, as Dr. Carson does, and they will find their way through all of lifes hardships and struggles. Our society has morally declined over the past 50 years and we (people of faith) must work together to restore this nation to what made it great.
