And, if you're children's teacher happens to be one of the really bad ones, you're stuck with him or her. Unions ceased being beneficial decades ago. They're now a parasite that sucks the life out of union members to serve union leaders. If unions are so great, why force people to unionize? Why not give people a choice like right to work states do? Teachers choose to be teachers knowing the salary and hours.

Video Game Manufacturers Are in Denial

Blaming video games is absurd. Unless you play, you don't know what they do. They're just games. They don't cause evil violence any more than playing cops and robbers with finger guns used to. People will mental illness commit these horrible acts. Quit blaming everything under the sun besides the actual cause. Most kids play these games. The vast majority of them will never commit a mass murder or even a murder.
You can add the $1 trillion they want to request to bail out the delinquent student loans. Yes, the education bubble has finally burst. Too bad Obama is president.

Also, liberals are mostly to blame for the lack of mental hospitals. They decided that it wasn't humane to put people in mental hospitals and that community health centers could do the job. This process was called "deinstitutionalization". Of course, many people actually need to be hospitalized but there is nowhere for them to go. That's why we have so many homeless people, half of whom are mentally ill. We have really let the mentally ill down. They deserve better. We deserve better.

Some of you on here are very ignorant about the way things work. Even if a parent or loved one reports a person who is spiralling downward and acting crazy, nothing can be done unless the person chooses to be treated. Treating irrational people as though they still have the capacity to make these choices is what's wrong. Of course the mentally ill have rights, but saying they have a right to refuse treatment when they are insane is insane. Only once a mentally ill person commits these evil acts can the authorities get involved. There should be an allowance made for these circumstances. A person who is suffering a psychotic break or has stopped taking his meds should be forcibly committed for evaluation for the safety of society.
