John Stossel did an excellent documentary on the abuses of the system. He showed people cashing their monthly checks and using the cash to continue "feeding" their disability.. drug abuse, alcohol abuse, etc. The government was, in effect, enabling them to continue their self-destructive habits. As a grocery retail worker for 10 years, I saw first hand the severely obese customers load up their motorized carts with all manner of junk food, pay for them with food stamps, and then talk about their disability checks. "Uncle Sugar" kept them stocked up with the poison that put on those pounds. This is truly cases of "Killing them with Kindness" and the money would be better served to place these cases in treatment facilities instead.

Today, we're going to demonstrate that the policies of multiple agencies of the U.S. federal government are responsible for enabling criminal disability fraud in the United States, with the cost of the fraud accelerating the pending insolvency of Social Security's Disability Insurance Trust Fund, which will put the program's legitimate beneficiaries at high risk of having their benefits cut after the fund has been exhausted.
