True, but what Ms Hicks has not said is that this is a pattern that is affecting both libs and conservatives. As a matter of fact, conservatives have been just as aggressive in underming parents' rights as liberals. Take the fact that the Courts, state and federal, have used the "best interests of the child" as a means of adjudicating what they deem best. This is based on Feminism and the destruction of the nuclear family, and female rights. The reality is that all actions have consequences. What Ms Hicks has not said is that she and her professional cohorts have been instrumental in causing these policies to come to fruition.
