Hey The_Answer, How does "biologically homosexual" work within an evolutionary framework? Genetic success is based on reproductive success. Homosexuality by definition tends to winnow the ' homosexual genes' from the gene pool. On what basis to you claim homosexuality is genetics rather than a choice?

It's called recessives, lots of hetrosexuals probably carry the recessive genes for homosexuality and when they have children those recessives will express themselves in a percentage of their offspring. It's why 2 brown eyed people can have a blue eyed child, to mention just one very simple example.

Your simple example of eye color does not directly apply to reproductive efficiency as does homosexuality.

And when the government treats one group differently from another for no justifable reason it is discrimination. And when a person hates another simply for being different, that is bigotry. Homosexuals in this country suffer both.

A lot of cultural commentators are confused these days. They believe that people’s views on same sex marriage are solely a reflection of their religious beliefs. Nothing could be further from the truth. Actually, some things could be further from the truth – like saying that Al Sharpton has integrity or that Dan Savage has class. But you get the point. The same sex marriage debate is about politics. To call it a religious debate is to miss the point entirely. Your stance on same sex marriage should vary depending on whether you consider yourself to be a conservative, a liberal,...
