The cause of America's decline is not these things per se.
The root cause is the continual degeneration of the glorious Gospel of Christ.
Since the 1800s the Gospel of God's sovereign grace according to the scriptures has given way to a pop culture message of free-will works religion.
The good news of the full deliverance of all the elect of God from His just sentence of condemnation in Adam by the full, completed obedience of the Last Adam unto death has given way to a man-centered, self-righteous, feel good message of salvation by an act of will of the sinner.
I have to admit that when Obama “won” re-election I became more depressed than Madonna’s audience was when they were forced to watch her strip the other night. For God’s sake, Madonna, put some material on that mess, material girl. I guess she’s going to follow Cher’s path and torture us with her exhibitionism ‘til she takes the big dirt nap. Like a virgin?
