Mr. Sowell, There is also the cynical view, to which I subscribe (being a right wing nut fanatical, maniacal Tea Party member). I give 0bama more credit. I believe he knows full well that his economic taxation policies will actually drive what remains of a capitalistic system into further and further stagnation. I believe he will use the stagnation to continue to borrow to feed the free stuff crowd thus further obligating the U.S. to China. I believe this is the Sock Puppet in Chief's marching orders from the likes of men like Geo. Soros, etc. I believe their goal is to drain America until it cannot be distinguished from the EU, or perhaps worse. And this to pay for all of America's past "atrocities" and "theft".
If everyone in America had read Stephen Moore's new book, "Who's The Fairest of Them All?", Barack Obama would have lost the election in a landslide.

The point here is not to say, "Where was Stephen Moore when we needed him?" A more apt question might be, "Where was the whole economics profession when we needed them?" Where were the media? For that matter, where were the Republicans?
