This should be in the Republican platform. The flagrant abuse of our electoral system is a black eye for Democrats. Romney needs to make vague references to the 2008 election, when Obama received tens of thousands of fifty dollar donations from untraceable sources in Europe and the Middle East. He needs to promise America that he will give the Federal Election Commission real teeth to go after these abusers. The candidate who takes the lead on this issue automatically makes his opponent appear to be the guilty party. No more "wrist-slap" fines for illegal donations, and when it comes to voter fraud, they need to put offenders in prison for a minimum of five years. That will go a long way toward stopping these sleazebags.
