The Camelot Cover-up Continues

Your comment about the consequences IF some really good investigative reporter looked into Kennedy's political and personal behavior at the time makes me wonder what would be the result of such an investigation into Obama's presidency now. Sadly, we have to wait for history to tell the story -- the right the wrongs against Bush and to tell the unvarnished truth about Obama.

As is typical, Greenberg comes through again. I don't think the man is capable of writing a bad column. This one strikes just the right tone and I hope will challenge a lot of Americans to "just do it."
Horatio, you always respond to TH articles with the same arguments (typically ad hominem) and you cannot even get the name right -- It is Janice Crouse (not Janet).

Admitting the Power of Evil

She states clearly that evil is the force that lures people to do wrong. Sin is when they choose to do wrong. Every person, she points out, has the right -- they can choose -- to do either right or wrong. Those who succumb to temptation end up giving in to evil and they volitionally commit sin.

This is one of the most important articles I've read in a long time; it is a pertinent and timely warning about what is happening in Christian higher education. It's happening all through the CCCU, not just at Wheaton. Thank you, Sandy, for documenting one college's descent into pseudo-sophistication by unthinkingly following the educational fads of the day. So they say, "we don't want to have a list of things students shouldn't read" so they make a reading list composed ENTIRELY of authors from the far left. How can we turn it around?

The Bible is "says who!" Just ask anyone fighting an addiction or trying to lose weight -- yes, we can resolve to do differently and some succeed, but most need help beyond themselves. Ever heard the steps of the 12-step process. #1 is admitting that some things are bigger than we are and we cannot do it alone!!!
by the reaction of some readers to this article. Pornography dehumanizes women; objectifies sex and is more and more vulgar, violent and abusive. It ruins marriages and destroys the lives of those associated with its production and of viewers who become addicted. So, why are some of these readers defending it so dramatically and harshly. And, why are some disputing the findings of social science research with their uninformed opinions and biases? This article is reporting what very respected psychologists and counselors have discovered in their work with those who are addicted to pornography.

The Restoration

Once again Paul Greenberg strikes the perfect chord. It is so refreshing to read what he writes; it is insightful and erudite. He pulls in history, literature and his incredible wisdom to make a point that is totally contemporary and relevant. The man is a national treasure!

Yes, it is up to us to stand as witnesses. We cannot control the outcome, but we can stand for truth and expose the hypocrisy and demagogery.

with the comment questioning why Corrie was there in the first place. What girl (or guy) would look for a husband (or wife) that way? And, I agree about the importance of "sex appeal" as well as "heart appeal." It might be that Corrie just didn't appeal to Jake, but it is probably likely that he thinks she is too "uptight" for him.
